After 20 years, French fashion titan Louis Vuitton has resurrection its revolutionary collaboration with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami. Others, though, like the fusion of high art and high fashion. Artist David Shrigley, whose work has been translated onto LV clothing, sees it as a way to reach new audiences. "If I can put my art in a place where people who might not normally engage with contemporary art can see it and connect with it, then I’m all for it."

Back in the Czech Republic, Prague’s DOX gallery is exhibiting works by local street artist ctiek, who’s also dipped his brush in fashion, collaborating with the likes of Levi’s and Adidas. "I see my work as being part of a dialogue between different forms of art," he says. "It doesn’t matter if it’s on canvas, on streets or on a t-shirt."

So, is art losing its soul in the pursuit ofcommerce? Or is it gaining a new voice, a voice that speaks to a wider, more diverse audience?
