Louisiana Tech Volleyball Coach Amber McCray Departs After Six Seasons
Louisiana Tech Volleyball Coaching Change
Louisiana Tech has made a significant change in its volleyball program. Ryan Ivey, the Vice President and Director of Athletics, announced the dismissal of Amber McCray as head coach. This decision is effective immediately, ending her six-year tenure with the team.
Ivey expressed gratitude for McCray’s dedication, stating, “While the results on the court weren’t what anyone wanted or expected, Amber always conducted herself in a professional manner. She cares deeply about the program and her student-athletes.”
During her six seasons, McCray achieved a record of 50 wins and 115 losses. The Bulldogs concluded the 2024 season with a total of 8 wins and 23 losses, and a Conference USA record of 2 wins and 16 losses.
A national search for a new head coach will start right away.
