Lydia revealed the decision on the What’s The Reality? podcast, hosted by Amber Desiree “AD” Smith from Season 6.She described a accumulation of problems, including alleged infidelity and a lack of support during her fibromyalgia diagnosis, as contributing factors.
According to Lydia, Milton’s reaction to her diagnosis in September 2024 was unsupportive. She claims he downplayed the severity of her condition and resisted her request for medical leave. She also alleges that she discovered messages suggesting Milton was pursuing other women and that multiple women contacted her via social media with similar claims.
It wasn’t one thing. It was a layer of situations and things that just kept piling up. When I told him ‘I’ll let you know when the divorce papers are ready, his response was ‘I’m not going to sign the papers unless there’s an NDA.’ And that said enough for me to know that I needed to share my truth and my experience.
The couple gained popularity on Love Is blind for their age-gap romance.Though, Lydia says trouble began only six months into the marriage. She also stated that Milton has given her the silent treatment for months, leading her to believe he doesn’t love her.
I don’t think he loves me, because he has given me the silent treatment for the past few months, and if you truly love a person you wouldn’t do this.
To say that fibromyalgia has ruined my life doesn’t even come close to it. And rather of him being my support he told me ‘You’re not dying, you just have to eat healthy and work out’… I wanted a medical leave, so I tried to talk to him to request it back in October last year. He was like ‘Fuck no!’
