One Year After the Pods in St Saviour

Jack Bradshaw, 30, and Faye Domaille, 28, are looking back at life in Guernsey one year after crossing paths on Netflix’s reality dating series Love Is Blind: UK.

The couple appeared in the third series of the streaming platform’s British adaptation. The format drops singles into separated pods where they date unseen. Participants only lay eyes on their partners face-to-face after a marriage proposal occurs. Then come the honeymoons, shared living arrangements, family introductions, and a legally binding wedding.

Despite a low overall success rate across international iterations of the show, Bradshaw and Domaille have stayed together since filming wrapped. They have since relocated to St Saviour, Guernsey, where they live alongside Domaille’s parents.

Navigating ADHD with Show Support

Production brought unexpected personal breakthroughs. Domaille has thrown herself into understanding the condition. She described the post-show adjustment as a rollercoaster while detailing her personal efforts to make sense of her partner’s habits. “When he does something, I’ll be confused; but will then search it online and realise it’s something common for someone with ADHD to do, and then it makes sense,” Domaille told the BBC.

Patience and Laughter in Everyday Life

Reflecting on their adjustment to everyday life, Domaille stressed that endurance is critical.

“The biggest thing is just being patient with each other, and I see Jack’s ADHD as a superpower,” she told the BBC.

She added that her partner stands out as the funniest person she has encountered, noting that they experience constant laughter together.

The Reality Beyond Television Production

Leaving the bubble of television production brought distinct hurdles. Domaille identified the most difficult aspect of the dating experiment as returning to the real world away from that support system. However, she praised the welfare team associated with the show as incredible for continuing to offer ongoing advice.

Logistical hurdles also tested the participating couples.

“Sometimes some of the toughest parts in the experiment are when you have to have genuine conversations about where you’re going to live and what kind of jobs you’re going to have,” Domaille pointed out.

Milestones and Marriage Realities

While all couples from their specific season have stayed together, retention rates are lower across other UK and US seasons.

Reaching the one-year milestone highlights the genuine nature of marriage rather than idealized expectations, Domaille emphasized.
