Amber Davies Steps In for Dani Dyer-bowen on Strictly Come Dancing

Former Love Island winner Amber davies will join Strictly Come Dancing, replacing Dani Dyer-Bowen, who was forced to withdraw from the BBC competition after fracturing her ankle during rehearsals this week. RTÉ reported the news.
Davies’ Excitement and Well Wishes
Davies, a West End star and podcaster, expressed her surprise and delight at the prospect. She will be partnered with professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin. ”This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life,” Davies said.
“I’ve watched Strictly with my family since I was younger, and to now be part of the show is a dream come true,” she continued. “I’m going to give it my all, and I am sending Dani well wishes for a speedy recovery. I hope I do her proud.”
Debut Performance
Davies and Kuzmin are scheduled to perform a waltz on Saturday evening’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing, which airs on BBC One.
From Reality TV to the Stage
since winning Love Island in 2017,Davies has transitioned to a successful career in musical theater. Her recent stage credits include roles as Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby, Vivian Ward in the UK tour of Pretty Woman, and Lorraine Baines in Back to the Future the Musical in London’s West End. Davies is also preparing to star as Elle Woods in a new production of Legally Blonde the Musical, based on the novel by Amanda Browning and the 2001 film starring Reese witherspoon and Jennifer Coolidge.
Previous Dancing experience
This isn’t Davies’ first foray into televised dance competitions. She competed on ITV’s Dancing on Ice in 2024, where she was eliminated during the semi-final round following a public vote.
