All LTA grass court events now include both men’s and women’s competitions. The HSBC Championships will host both a WTA 500 and an ATP 500 event, while the Lexus Eastbourne Open will feature a WTA 250 and an ATP 250 tournament. With the support of the WTA,the LTA will increase WTA prize money at Queen’s and Eastbourne, with the goal of completely eliminating the prize money gap by 2029.
The WTA 500 prize money at the HSBC Championships has risen to $1.415 million, making it the highest-paying WTA 500 event of its size this year. Similarly, the WTA 250 prize money at the Lexus Eastbourne Open has increased to $389,000, making it the highest-paying WTA 250 event on the tour.
