Olaf Lubaszenko, at the tender age of 23, was fresh out of his extramural exam, earning him the right to practice as a drama actor. His first significant role was in the musical “Metro,” where he shared the stage with the immensely talented Edyta Górniak, who was on the cusp of stardom. Górniak played the role of Anka, alternating with the 21-year-old Katarzyna Groniec.

“Every day, several dozen times a month, I heard her voice in the theater. Can you fall in love with your voice? It seems to me that you can’t, however. Certainly, however, he helps a lot,” said Olaf in an interview with a river, when asked about the beginnings of acquaintance with Kasia.

The Spark of Love

Initially, Katarzyna Groniec did not pay much attention to Olaf, but over time, his charm began to win her over. “He walked, walked until he left,” she joked in an interview. Their friends from the “Metro” team supported their blossoming relationship and eagerly awaited their wedding.

“The wedding was in October 1992, Our daughter Marianna was born in 1993, And two years later we signed divorce papers,” Olaf Lubaszenko summarized in his book, reflecting on his marriage with Kasia.

The actor takes full responsibility for the breakdown of their relationship. “I was simply completely unprepared for both the role of my husband and my father. I have probably made all possible mistakes that can be made. And I feel regret because of this,” he confessed in an interview with Paweł Piotrowicz.

Reflections on Youth and Maturity

Lubaszenko admits that he and Kasia had different life priorities and expectations, which ultimately led to their divorce. “We were too young … Real feelings and emotions did not go hand in hand with the ability to cultivate them. They are sad but frequent. Many young, beautiful and passionate relationships end when it turns out that two people have completely different priorities in their lives and expectations,” he said in his book.

“We were both then we were almost children who, like feathers, were thrown on the wind of great life challenges – motherhood, fatherhood, everyday life, loyalty or loyalty. These are things on which the relationship must be based. I wasn’t ready for such a relationship and that’s it,” he added.

Co-Parenting and Moving On

Despite their divorce, Katarzyna and Olaf wanted to maintain a sense of family for their daughter Marianna. When Kasia was recording her debut album “Men” under the guidance of Grzegorz Ciechowski, she invited Olaf to appear in one of the songs, and he agreed without hesitation.

Lubaszenko is grateful to Katarzyna for allowing him to be a father to Marianna, although their relationship was not always close. “I matured to paternity slowly, with age. When Marianna was a child, it was not good. We had frequent contacts, but not close. I take full guilt. The closer ones appeared a few years ago,” he confessed in an interview.

After his divorce from Katarzyna Groniec, Olaf Lubaszenko was single for a while. Rumors circulated about his alleged affair with Renata Dancewicz, but neither confirmed the rumors. Their relationship, if it existed, was short-lived.

Another significant relationship for Lubaszenko was with the beautiful Czech actress Jarek Rytytov, whom he met during the Film Festival in Karlovy Vary. Their relationship was intense and almost led to marriage. However, Jarek unexpectedly left him, leaving him in loneliness.

“It is difficult to find a woman for a couple. Emotional life reminds me a bit of a great store: everything is there, but when I start looking for a specific thing, it turns out that she is unattainable,” he explained in an interview with “Echo of the day.”

Professional Pursuits and Love Interests

Friends of Lubaszenko noted that whenever he was single, he threw himself into his work. After parting with Jarka Rychtova, he immersed himself in professional duties, making films back-to-back. During the filming of “Bajland,” he met Karolina Rosińska and immediately fell in love with her. He even decided to shoot “Morning Coyote” for her, but their relationship ended quietly and unexpectedly. This time, Lubaszenko did not wait for his wounds to heal before moving on to another star, Agnieszka Włodarczyk, whom he cast in his next movie “E = Mc².”

“A few times in my life I happened to touch true love,” says Olaf Lubaszenko and adds that he finally met the one. Since 2006, the actor has been associated with Hanna Wawrowska, about whom he says that she is a woman with whom he would like to spend the rest of his life.
