Former soccer star Luis Jiménez has publicly apologized for a recent incident involving a kiss with radio personality Martina Orrego, admitting it was a mistake and expressing regret for the hurt it caused his ex-partner, Cote López.
Just weeks ago, photos surfaced of Jiménez and Orrego kissing at a Vitacura establishment, sparking controversy. The incident came shortly after Jiménez publicly declared his continued love for López,his partner of nearly 20 years,during a television interview.
In a candid interview on the YouTube show “La verdura,” hosted by El Ranty, Jiménez faced a lie detector test and was directly asked about the incident with Orrego.
“Do you regret Martina Orrego?” Ranty asked.
Jiménez, without hesitation, responded, “Yes.”
He whent on to explain that while he had spoken with Orrego,the public display of affection was inappropriate.”I don’t know who took the photos… but it wasn’t the right time, place, or way. It was amateur,” he admitted.
Jiménez acknowledged the pain he caused López, stating, “I think I hurt José (Cote López) with what happened. I spoke with her,apologized,it wasn’t the right way.”
While acknowledging that the incident wasn’t fatal, Jiménez expressed remorse for his actions, calling it a mistake he shouldn’t have made.
