A second-half surge powered the Minnesota Lynx to a decisive win. After a tied score of 56-56, the Lynx ignited a 27-5 run that spanned just over 11 minutes, beginning with a three-pointer by Williams with 6:59 remaining in the third quarter. This offensive explosion gave the Lynx a 22-point lead with 5:43 left in the game.
During the pivotal run,Williams (with two),Carleton,Collier,and Hiedeman each contributed a three-pointer,accounting for five of the Lynx’s season-high 11 three-pointers. Hiedeman played a meaningful role in the surge, scoring eight points during that stretch.
Golden State’s Veronica Burton (21 points), Kate martin (14 points), and Kayla Thornton (11 points) combined for 29 points in the first half. However, the trio managed only 17 points in the second half.
