 ⁣Updated June 16, 2025

Apple is reportedly⁢ planning a meaningful redesign for its MacBook Pro ‌in 2026, according to reports. The updated laptop is expected ‍to feature a new⁢ processor, a revamped display, and a thinner chassis.

The‌ new MacBook Pro’s‌ chip could‌ be a major upgrade from the current ⁣M4.While this year’s MacBooks are anticipated to include the M5 chip, Apple is already said to be developing the M6 and M7. This generation of Apple Silicon is expected to use 2nm ‍technology from TSMC.

The 2026 MacBook Pro may also incorporate a‍ tandem OLED display, similar‍ to the one found in the 2024 iPad Pro. This ⁣would provide improved brightness and longevity⁤ compared to the IPS LCD with mini-LED backlighting used in current ‍MacBook⁤ Pro models.

Along with the internal upgrades, the‍ 2026 MacBook Pro is rumored to be getting⁤ a slimmer design. Specifics are scarce, but the OLED display could contribute to⁣ a reduction in overall size.

Apple did not respond to requests for comment.
