MacBook Pro M5 Deal: Save Big in Month-End Sale | Apple Discounts

February 26, 2026 Lisa Park - Tech Editor Tech

A price war among retailers is delivering significant savings on Apple’s 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro this month. Both Amazon and B&H Photo Video are currently offering the standard configuration – featuring 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage – for $1,449, a discount of $150 off the standard retail price.

This deal represents a compelling opportunity for consumers looking to upgrade to Apple’s silicon. The M5 chip, introduced in late 2024, provides a substantial performance boost over previous generations, particularly in tasks involving graphics and machine learning. While Apple continues to refine its silicon with the newer M4 Pro and M4 Max chips, the M5 remains a powerful and capable processor for a wide range of professional and creative workflows.

B&H Photo Video is also offering a configuration with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB storage capacity for $1,599 shipped. The silver model is listed at $1,649, with an additional $50 discount applied at checkout, bringing the final price down to $1,599. This represents a $200 discount off Apple’s list price and is the lowest price currently available online for this specific configuration.

The discounts are particularly noteworthy given that deeper discounts on Apple’s M-series chips were largely limited to the holiday season last year. While some 32GB configurations saw discounts of up to $300 earlier this year, those deals were typically reserved for the higher-end, pro-grade models. The current offers on the 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB configurations represent the best cash discounts available on the M5 MacBook Pro lineup.

Apple’s own website currently offers trade-in programs for customers looking to upgrade to a new MacBook Pro with the M5, M4 Pro, or M4 Max chip. However, the direct cash discounts offered by Amazon and B&H provide a more immediate savings for those not looking to trade in an existing device.

Beyond the hardware specifications, Apple emphasizes the ease of transitioning to the macOS ecosystem. For iPhone users, the setup process is streamlined through iCloud integration, allowing for seamless transfer of files, photos, messages, passwords, and other data. Even for users migrating from Windows or older Macs, Apple’s Migration Assistant simplifies the process of transferring documents, apps, accounts, and settings.

Apple also provides Personal Setup, a free online service offering one-on-one sessions with a Specialist to guide new users through the setup process and demonstrate how to maximize the features of their new Mac. This support system is designed to alleviate any potential learning curve associated with switching operating systems.

The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 chip features Apple’s Supercharged M5 processor, designed to accelerate speed and on-device AI capabilities for personal, professional, and creative tasks. The machine is well-suited for demanding applications such as video editing, graphic design, software development, and scientific computing.

While Apple is expected to unveil new M5 Pro and M5 Max models next month, the current M5 MacBook Pro remains a highly capable machine, particularly at the discounted price point. The availability of these deals is limited, as they are part of a month-end price war, making it a timely opportunity for potential buyers.
