French President emmanuel Macron has responded to a video circulating online that shows his wife, Brigitte Macron, touching his face as they disembarked their plane in Vietnam. The incident, part of a South East Asia tour, sparked speculation about a possible disagreement between the couple.
Macron,though,dismissed these claims. He characterized the interaction as “simply joking with my wife as we often do.” He expressed frustration with what he described as misinterpretations of video clips on social media.
The French president said that this was the third time in recent weeks he has had to clarify the context of videos he appeared in.He cited previous instances where he was falsely accused of drug use and having a heated exchange with the Turkish president.
“I haven’t got lots of time to spare,” Macron said,lamenting the time spent clarifying the videos. “And yet, I’m spending a lot of time explaining the interpretation of these types of videos.”
