French President Emmanuel Macron is scheduled to arrive in Vietnam on Sunday, kicking off a Southeast Asia tour that includes stops in Jakarta and Singapore. During his visit to Vietnam, Macron will meet with Communist Party Chief To Lam and President Luong Cuong, and participate in a signing ceremony for bilateral agreements.
Meanwhile, in Kuala Lumpur, Southeast Asian leaders will gather for the ASEAN Summit, starting Monday. Malaysia, as chair, aims to strengthen ASEAN’s role in regional stability and address the ongoing crisis in Myanmar. Following the summit,Malaysia will host the inaugural ASEAN-Gulf Cooperation Council-China Summit,where leaders are expected to discuss U.S. tariff pressures and geopolitical rifts.
