Gallant Sports Eyes ₹1000 Crore revenue Target in India Expansion
Updated June 17, 2025
Gallant Sports is aggressively pursuing growth in India’s sports infrastructure sector, setting its sights on becoming a ₹1000 crore enterprise within five years. This enterprising goal represents a 15-fold increase in size, driven by strategic expansion into stadium development, education sector projects, and innovative sports center initiatives.
Nasir Ali,founder and CEO of Gallant Sports, outlined the company’s strategy, emphasizing a transition toward EPC (Engineering,Procurement, and Construction) projects. This includes developing smaller stadiums valued at ₹40–50 crores each. The company currently manages about 100 projects annually, with budgets ranging from ₹50 lakhs to ₹1 crore, and aims to substantially increase this number.
To reach smaller cities and Tier 2 and 3 locations, Gallant Sports has launched the “Gallant Partners” program. This initiative partners with local entities to manage smaller projects, such as mini football turfs, basketball courts, and badminton courts, valued between ₹10 to ₹20 lakhs.
A key component of Gallant Sports’ growth strategy is the establishment of sports centers. The company currently operates around 12 such centers, offering a variety of sports including swimming, football, and tennis. The goal is to expand these facilities across India, starting with metros and Tier 1 cities, eventually reaching tier 2 cities. These centers currently generate nearly ₹10 crores in revenue, with plans to launch 200 to 300 new centers in the next five years.
The company’s current gross margin and EBITDA stand at around 30–35%, with a net profit of approximately 10–12%.Profitability is primarily driven by product sales, but Gallant Sports is also taking on turnkey projects to build expertise. The company plans to increase its project teams from 20 to as many as 100, scaling gradually over the next five years.
Gallant Sports imports most of its surfaces, such as AstroTurf, from Vietnam, China, and Europe. While India imports approximately 10 million square meters of sports surface materials, Ali anticipates a shift toward higher-quality options as customers prioritize cushioning, injury prevention, and sustainability.
Gallant Sports has pioneered enduring solutions, such as recyclable turf, to attract clients and secure bids. The company also leverages exclusive partnerships with global leaders like Envirostik and Domo Grass, which provide favorable credit terms and access to high-quality products.
Certifications from FIFA, FIH, and World Athletics are critical for bidding on large projects. Gallant Sports has completed the highest number of FIFA-certified fields in India and is the onyl Indian company to have developed a World Athletics-approved, fully made-in-India product.
The company has installed over 10 million sq.ft. of surfaces,80% of which is artificial turf. Projects range from 2,000 to 100,000 sq. ft.,with a focus on schools, universities, and government bodies.
Gallant Sports actively engages with government bodies to promote decentralized, grassroots-level projects. The company advocates for developing multi-sport facilities in each district to ensure access to quality sports infrastructure at a young age.
“We advocate for developing INR 1–2 crore multi-sport facilities in each district, rather than only investing in large stadiums meant for elite athletes,” ali said.
What’s next
Gallant Sports plans to continue expanding its reach across India, focusing on both large-scale projects and grassroots development to foster a more vibrant sports culture.
