Madrid, IA - the Madrid Tigers boys’ basketball team roared to a decisive 69-31 victory over the woodward-Granger Hawks on Friday, December 13th, showcasing their dominance in West Central Conference play.
From the opening tip, the Tigers established their presence, surging to an 18-10 lead after the first quarter. By halftime, Madrid had extended their advantage to a commanding 43-13. The third quarter saw the Tigers maintain their relentless pace, pushing the score to 63-31. A stifling defensive effort in the final quarter held the Hawks scoreless,sealing the Tigers’ notable 69-31 win.
Brody Buck led the offensive charge for Madrid, pouring in 21 points on a combination of powerful drives, accurate three-pointers, and clutch free throws.
