Shinde Sena Corporators Gather as Mumbai Power-sharing Talks Continue
Negotiations between teh BJP and the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena over power-sharing in the Mumbai civic corporation are ongoing,and the Shinde Sena has gathered all 29 of its newly-elected corporators at a five-star hotel in Bandra. The move comes as the parties work to finalize arrangements for the election of a mayor.
The BJP won 89 seats in the 227-member BMC House and requires the Sena’s support to reach the majority needed to elect a mayor.Combined, the two parties currently hold 118 seats.
