Mahmoud Khalil Deported: Green Card Fraud Case – Federal Judge Order
Immigration Judge Orders Deportation of Activist Mahmoud Khalil
New Orleans, LA - A federal immigration judge has ruled that Mahmoud Khalil, an activist known for his anti-Israel stance, should be deported to either Algeria or Syria. The decision, issued on September 12 by Judge Jamee Comans in Louisiana, centers on Khalil’s U.S. green card application.
According to the ruling, Khalil failed to disclose key details on his application, specifically his internship with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and his involvement with Columbia University Apartheid Divest, an anti-Israel campus coalition.
The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), which published the court filings on Wednesday, highlighted that Judge Comans cited Khalil’s activism as a central factor in her decision.
Khalil was recently spotted at an anti-Israel protest at Columbia University.
