The Minot High girls soccer team, known as the Majettes, secured a 1-0 victory over the Bismarck Century Patriots on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The match took place at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck.
Jayva McKibben scored the game-winning goal in the 17th minute of the match. The goal followed a feed from Aleah Gibbons, who controlled the ball 40 yards from the goal and provided a centering pass past two defenders to McKibben, who scored from 15 yards out.
The Majettes won the possession battle following a goalie kick from Bismarck Century’s Jocelyn Haider. Haider finished the game with eight saves, while the Majettes held a 9-4 advantage in total shots.
Defensive Performance
Goalkeeper Kynsli Gillmore recorded her third consecutive shutout to open the season. Gillmore finished the game with four saves, bringing her season total to 11.
With this result, Minot High remains the only team in the Western Dakota Association (WDA) that has not conceded a goal so far this season. All other teams in the association have allowed at least two goals.
The Majettes currently hold an overall record of 3-0-0 and a WDA record of 3-0-0.
