Malik Tillman⁢ Joins Bayer Leverkusen on Five-Year Deal

Bayer Leverkusen has secured the signing of American midfielder‍ Malik Tillman on a five-year contract,the ⁢Bundesliga club announced Tuesday.The move sees Tillman fill the void left by ⁤Florian Wirtz, who departed for Bayern Munich.

Tillman’s Journey to the⁣ Bundesliga

Born in Nuremberg, Germany, to a⁤ German mother and an American father, Tillman’s footballing journey began in the youth ranks of Bayern Munich after switching from SpVgg Greuther Fürth in 2015. Despite his growth⁣ at the Bavarian giants, he struggled to break into the senior team, ⁣making only seven appearances.

His career took a significant turn when he joined Scottish club rangers on loan for the 2022-23 season.the following⁢ year, he moved to PSV Eindhoven on loan,‍ with an option to make the transfer permanent, a clause ⁣PSV ⁢duly activated last year.

During his ⁤spell⁣ at PSV, Tillman showcased his attacking prowess, contributing 16 goals and five assists in 34 competitive ‍matches last season. This notable form has now earned him a ⁢move ⁤to the German champions, Bayer Leverkusen.
