Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis Demands Trial for Sheikh Hasina and Associates

Maulana Mamunul Haque, Secretary General of Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis and Joint Secretary General of Hefazat Islam Bangladesh, has called for the trial of Sheikh Hasina and her associates for their alleged involvement in mass disappearances and murders in the country.

Speaking at a conference organized by District Khilafat Majlis at Dakbangla Sonali Bank Square in Khulna, Haque emphasized the need for the International Criminal Tribunal to start its activities soon. He also suggested that the international police organization, Interpol, should issue a red alert and an arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina and her associates to bring them back to the country for trial.

Haque criticized the government for its alleged mega corruption in the name of mega projects, which he claimed has led to the collapse of Bangladesh’s economy. He accused the government of conspiring to turn Bangladesh into a state controlled by another country.

Addressing the Indian government, Haque said that Bangladesh is willing to extend its hand in friendship, but will resist any attempts at mastery. He emphasized the importance of unity among the people to maintain the country’s hard-won victory and resist anti-national conspiracies.
