Man Charged With Murder of Film Student Finbar Sullivan at Primrose Hill

Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27, of Enfield, has appeared in court charged with the murder of 21-year-old film student Finbar Sullivan. The charges follow a fatal stabbing that occurred on April 7, 2026, at Primrose Hill, a park in north London.
Ogunyankinnu appeared at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 13, 2026. Due to the seriousness of the charge, the case was transferred to the Old Bailey, where he is scheduled to appear on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. During court proceedings, the accused stated, I didn’t stab anyone

to friends and family, was found with knife wounds at approximately 18:40 BST and died at the scene.
Additional Charges and Investigations
A second individual has been charged in connection with the incident. Khalid Abdulqadir, 18, of Camden, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a knife, and violent disorder. He was scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
Police also discovered another man in his 20s with stab injuries on nearby Regent’s Park Road. He was transported to a hospital, where his injuries were determined to be neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
A 25-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. however, the Metropolitan Police confirmed he has since been released with no further action.
Tributes to Finbar Sullivan
Finbar Sullivan was a filmmaking student at the London Screen Academy. His father, 65-year-old Chris Sullivan, described his son as exceptional
and noted that he had a bright future ahead of him.
Chris Sullivan stated that his son had recently overcome several health challenges, including being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and losing sight in one eye. He mentioned that Finbar had gone to the park on the day of the attack because it was sunny

All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic.

Chris Sullivan expressed disbelief that the attack occurred in Primrose Hill, describing it as one of the poshest parks in London
and a benign environment. He has announced his intention to devote himself to raising money for charities that his son supported.
