Man City Eye Livramento, PSG & Liverpool Chase Rogers: Transfer News & Rumors

by David Thompson - Sports Editor

The transfer landscape is heating up as several prominent clubs eye potential reinforcements ahead of the summer window. Manchester City is reportedly targeting Newcastle United’s right-back, Tino Livramento, while a host of European giants, including Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool, are monitoring Aston Villa’s attacking midfielder, Morgan Rogers.

According to sources, Manchester City views Livramento, 23, as a long-term solution on the right side of their defense. Pep Guardiola’s side has been tracking the player for “several months,” particularly as they’ve utilized versatile midfielder Matheus Nunes in that position this season. However, Newcastle remains hopeful of securing Livramento to a new contract at St. James’ Park, though the player has yet to indicate a willingness to commit to an extension.

The interest in Rogers, 23, is even more widespread. PSG has reportedly been monitoring the Englishman’s situation throughout the current season, and Liverpool has now joined the fray, alongside Manchester United and Arsenal. Rogers is currently under contract at Villa Park until 2031, meaning any potential suitor would need to meet a significant transfer fee to pry him away from Aston Villa. His representatives are aware of the growing interest, signaling a potentially busy summer for the midfielder.

The competition for Rogers underscores his impressive form this season. He has quickly become a key attacking force for Aston Villa, leading all Premier League players aged 23 and under in combined goals and assists with 13. His ability to both power past defenders and beat them in tight spaces, coupled with his impressive striking ability, has drawn the attention of several top clubs.

Elsewhere, AC Milan appears set to resist advances from several Premier League clubs for USMNT winger Christian Pulisic. Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham Hotspur had reportedly expressed interest, but Milan intends to retain the 27-year-old, who is currently the club’s top scorer in Serie A with eight goals.

Further transfer activity is also brewing beyond the Premier League’s top clubs. Newcastle striker Nick Woltemade, 24, is reportedly unhappy at the club and is open to a return to the Bundesliga, with both his former club VfB Stuttgart and Bayern Munich emerging as potential destinations. Woltemade arrived at Newcastle in August for a fee of €75 million but has reportedly expressed a desire to return to Germany.

Liverpool are also working to secure the long-term future of midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, 25, amid reported interest from Real Madrid. The Reds are prepared to “meet all of his demands” to ensure he remains at Anfield, where he has been a standout performer this season, contributing 10 goals and six assists in 34 matches across all competitions. Szoboszlai’s current deal runs until the summer of 2028.

Brighton are also reportedly looking to bolster their attack, aiming to sign both Said El Mala and his brother Malek El Mala from FC Cologne. The club is hoping to move quickly to secure the duo, potentially beating out competition from Bayern Munich.

Other reported movements include Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Kais Anelka, the son of former France international Nicolas Anelka, and Atalanta’s plans to offer striker Gianluca Scamacca a new contract. Borussia Dortmund has reportedly agreed to a deal for Cruzeiro left-back Kaua Prates, while Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney is reportedly open to a return to the Premier League. Everton is expected to fend off interest from Tottenham Hotspur in midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard is reportedly in talks with Brazilian second division club Remo.
