Manchester City has finalized⁢ the acquisition of left-back⁤ Rayan Aït-Nouri from Wolverhampton Wanderers, the club announced Monday. The move, reportedly valued at €37 million ($42.2 million), brings the Algerian international to⁤ the Etihad Stadium.

Aït-Nouri, ‍23, brings Premier League experience to City, having made 135 ⁤appearances for Wolves,‍ scoring nine goals and⁣ providing 15 assists. He fills a void at left-back for manager Pep Guardiola, who has been without a ‍specialist in that position since Benjamin Mendy’s departure in ⁢June 2023. Tijjani ⁣Reijnders is also expected ⁢to join Manchester City, having completed his medical Sunday.

The ‍transfer was ⁣expedited after⁤ Aït-Nouri‍ was granted permission to leave Algerian international duty to complete⁢ his medical and finalize the agreement with the English club. The signing of Rayan Aït-Nouri provides Manchester City with a key player as ⁢they aim to bolster ⁣their squad.

I am incredibly happy and honoured to have joined Manchester City. City are one of the biggest clubs in the world and‍ the chance to play for ⁤the club⁣ is a dream come true.

I am also so excited about working with and learning from Pep and his coaching team and getting to train and⁢ play alongside such a‍ world class group of players. ⁤Joining City is also a very proud ⁣moment for‍ my family too.

Now I‍ can’t wait to get started and to play in front of our supporters.
