Manchester City has continued its summer spending spree, exceeding £100 million with teh acquisition of Tijjani Reijnders.The Netherlands midfielder joins from Milan for €55 million (£46.6 million), becoming the fourth new player in three days. He follows Rayan Aït-Nouri, Marcus bettinelli, and Rayan Cherki to the club as Pep Guardiola seeks to inject fresh talent into his squad.
Reijnders will be eligible for the Club World Cup, with Manchester City’s first match scheduled for next Wednesday against Wydad AC. He signed a five-year contract.The move comes after what was, by the club’s high standards, an underwhelming season, with a third-place finish in the Premier League and no trophies secured. The club also invested heavily in January, spending over £180 million on four players, bringing their total expenditure for 2025 to £288 million.
