In Karnataka, the state government established a committee of experts last month to investigate a spike in heart attack-related deaths. The Hassan district, in particular, witnessed a disturbing number of fatalities, with 23 deaths reported within a 40-day period. The majority of these victims were between the ages of 19 and 45, further emphasizing the alarming nature of these events affecting the younger demographic.
The recurring nature of these tragic events prompts a closer examination of potential contributing factors and the importance of cardiac health awareness, even among the youth.
