Hyderabad, India – A 26-year-old man, identified as Rakesh, tragically passed away after collapsing on a badminton⁤ court during a amiable match in Uppal, Hyderabad, on Sunday ‍evening. The incident,which occurred around 8 pm at⁣ a private sports academy,has sent shockwaves through the community and‍ highlights a concerning trend of sudden cardiac events among young individuals.

A game Interrupted

Rakesh was⁢ reportedly in the midst of a doubles badminton match when ⁤the sudden collapse took place. Eyewitness accounts and video footage of the incident depict a⁣ normal game in progress, with Rakesh actively participating. Moments before his ⁤collapse, he was seen tracking ⁣the shuttlecock and bending down to retrieve it. In an instant, he fell‍ motionless on the court, leaving his friends and fellow players stunned and scrambling⁤ to his aid.

The video also captured the immediate aftermath, showing other players on the ⁤court attempting to perform chest compressions in a desperate effort to revive him. Despite their efforts,Rakesh could not be resuscitated.

Post-Mortem and‍ growing ⁢Concerns

Police officials have confirmed ‍that a post-mortem⁤ examination has been‍ conducted on the ⁤26-year-old. The results of the report are currently awaited, which will shed more light on the exact cause of his sudden death.

This unfortunate incident adds to a growing number of reported cases of heart-attack related deaths among young people, a trend that has raised significant public health‍ concerns.

The Hyderabad incident is not an isolated one. Earlier ‍this month, a‍ 35-year-old ⁤man ⁤named⁤ Pankaj Sharma from Faridabad died of a heart attack while exercising at a ⁢gym in Ballabhgarh. Sharma‍ was reportedly performing triceps extensions when he⁣ collapsed.

In Karnataka, the state government established⁢ a committee of experts last month⁤ to investigate a spike in heart attack-related deaths. The Hassan district, in particular, witnessed a disturbing ⁤number of fatalities, with 23 deaths reported within a 40-day period. The ⁢majority of these victims were between the ages of 19⁤ and 45, further emphasizing the alarming nature of⁤ these⁤ events affecting the younger demographic.

The recurring nature of these tragic events prompts a closer examination of potential contributing factors and the importance of cardiac health awareness, even among the youth.
