Man Injures Four with Sharp Object Before Suicide Attempt at Tacubaya Metro Station

A man injured four people with a sharp object before attempting to commit suicide by jumping onto the tracks at Tacubaya station on Line 7 of the Metro.

Incident Details

Authorities from the Mexico City Police detained the man after he engaged in a violent act at Tacubaya station. Witnesses reported he appeared disturbed. He told officers he would harm himself. During this moment, he attacked four individuals with a blade.

After his attack, the man jumped onto the train tracks but was quickly apprehended by the police.

Response to the Victims

The Secretary of Citizen Security requested immediate medical assistance for the injured. Paramedics arrived to treat the victims, who were then taken to nearby hospitals for care.

Train Service Interruption

The Metro system halted train services on Line 7 from 12:18 PM to 12:40 PM due to the incident, causing delays for passengers.

Ongoing Investigation

The attacker was handed over to the Public Ministry, which will assess his legal situation. Authorities are investigating the reasons behind his violent actions and his suicide attempt.
