Manchester Bury Malayali Association Elects New Officers for 2024-25
The Manchester Bury Malayali Association has elected new officers for the period 2024-25. The election took place at a meeting held on Saturday, 21st September, at the Bury Ukraine Social Club Hall, following the Onam celebrations.
The new officers include Bensi Arjunan as President, Jobbins Thattankunnel as Vice President, Alan Kurian as Secretary, and Subit Kuriakos as Treasurer. Additionally, 12 executive members were elected to ensure the smooth functioning of the committee.
The Onam celebrations, which took place on the same day, saw the participation of around 150 people, including children and adults. The event featured various arts and sports competitions, and even native Britons were in attendance to enjoy the festivities. The celebrations started at 10 am and concluded with a sumptuous Onam feast at 6 pm.
