Mount Horeb High School’s all-time leading scorer Josh Manchester has committed to play basketball for the University of Wisconsin, the school announced.
Manchester finished his Mount Horeb career with 2,534 points, the 10th-most in Wisconsin high school boys’ basketball history and the most in program history for the Vikings.
The 6-foot-3 guard measured up as a proven bucket-getter during his illustrious high school career, becoming Mount Horeb’s career scoring leader and earning recognition as one of the state’s top performers.
His commitment gives Wisconsin a local standout who grew up watching the Badgers and brings a track record of production to the program.
Manchester was previously named the boys basketball player of the year for his outstanding performance during the season.
