On September 14, French medalists and officials from the Paris Olympics and Paralympics held a grand parade on the iconic Champs-Élysées. The event featured notable participants, including Leon Marchand, a swimmer who won an impressive four gold medals, and Teddy Riner, who secured his third title in the over 100kg judo category. Aurelie Aubert, the winner of the women’s boccia event at the Paralympics, was also in attendance.
Leon Marchand expressed his gratitude, saying, “I’m deeply moved. I want to thank everyone who came.” Following the parade, International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach addressed the crowd, emphasizing the true value of the Olympic Games. “You have brought the true value of the Olympic Games,” he stated.
