According to journalist Idania Chirinos speaking on NTN24, the most recent sequence began with a planned maritime voyage intended to start on Monday. Chirinos stated that authorities had already stamped Machado’s passport before unexpected mechanical issues grounded the vessel. Following the boat cancellation, Machado attempted to fly to Aruba to complete the journey by sea, but that flight failed to receive takeoff authorization, according to Chirinos’s account.
