Former Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz is generating buzz in the transfer market, but his agent, David Aranda, has swiftly denied recent reports linking him to Egyptian giants Al-Ahly.
Speaking to MBC Egypt, Aranda stated categorically, “We have not received any offer from Al-Ahly to include Mariano Diaz. What is written in the Spanish press is not true, and I do not know how they came up with this news.”
Aranda emphasized that there has been no official contact from Al-Ahly regarding Diaz.”no official has spoken to us, and there is no discussion with Al-Ahly,” he clarified.”I know that al-Ahly are looking to strengthen their ranks in the coming period, but there has been no communication about Mariano Diaz.”
The agent did acknowledge past interest from Egyptian representatives, but stressed that it was for a different player. ”About a year ago, some Egyptian agents spoke to me about some club’s interest in another player, not Mariano Diaz,” he explained.
Diaz, who spent last season recovering from an injury sustained at Sevilla,is now focused on regaining his form. “Mariano Diaz is preparing himself well for the coming season after being away from pressure and recovering from the injury he suffered in Seville,” Aranda said. “He is now training and ready to receive offers.”
While denying the Al-Ahly offer, Aranda left the door open for a potential move. “If there is an offer from Al-Ahly, it will certainly be discussed and studied, and Mariano Diaz will not mind,” he concluded.
Diaz’s future remains uncertain, but his agent’s comments suggest the striker is open to exploring new opportunities.
