Marie Robertson takes on the lead role of Alice in the upcoming drama Har du sett Alice?
at Kulturhuset Spira in Jönköping. Written by local playwright Emy Stahl and directed by Playhouse Teater artistic leader Elisabet Klason, the production explores a successful woman whose life abruptly begins to fracture upon receiving an unexpected payment remark.
The production holds its urpremiär on October 10, 2026, on the Kammaren stage at Kulturhuset Spira, running through November 15, 2026. Performances run approximately one hour and forty minutes, including a twenty-five-minute intermission, according to the theater’s schedule.
From Dream Life to Payment Remarks
The story follows Alice, who has recently moved into a dream home with her husband, received a job promotion, and secured a prestigious London internship for her son. That stability shatters when a payment remark arrives in the mail, forcing her to confront sudden questions about how quickly financial security can unravel.

Emy Stahl based the narrative on archival material and a study by ethnologists covering the severe hardship years in Småland during the 1860s. The resulting play bridges historical themes of shame, guilt, and social exclusion with modern pressures for success and validation.
Cast and Production Team at Kulturhuset Spira
Marie Robertson leads an ensemble cast that includes Kalle Malmberg, Mathias Lithner, Niki Gunke Stangertz, Siw Lindström, and Erik Nordström. Kalle Malmberg returns to Spira following his appearance in last year’s production of Så som i himmelen
.

Director Elisabet Klason notes that the play examines human vulnerability and the fear of inadequacy. Tänk hur vi människor kämpar för att passa in och känna oss accepterade – och i slutändan är det ofta just detta kämpande som gör att vi inte hittar den gemenskap vi söker,
Klason said, according to Kulturhuset Spira. Alice, som så många av oss, är rädd att inte duga som hon är.
The artistic team comprises Emy Stahl for the script, Elisabet Klason for direction, Annsofi Östbergh Nyberg for set and costume design, Anna Wemmert for lighting design, Linda Lundqvist for mask design, and Danne Fernström for composition and sound design alongside Erik Kerekes.
