Eintracht Frankfurt Secures 2-1 Victory Over Borussia Mönchengladbach
Omar Marmoush came off the bench to score the winning goal for Eintracht Frankfurt, securing a 2-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach in the German Cup.
Marmoush’s decisive goal in the 70th minute sealed the win for Eintracht Frankfurt, who took the lead in the second minute of first-half stoppage time through Hugo Ekitiki. Borussia Mönchengladbach equalized through Ko Itakura in the 47th minute, but Marmoush’s strike proved to be the winner.
Despite being outnumbered, Marmoush received a ball inside the penalty area and shot hard into the top corner of the goal, securing the win for Eintracht Frankfurt. The team’s victory was marred by the sending off of defender Arthur Theati 15 minutes into the match.
