On Oct. 10, at the Acquasanta spring in Marola, a new plaque will be unveiled at 10:00 a.m. to explain the meaning of the amphitheater surrounding the water source.
Devotees Fund Plaque to Prevent Loss of Identity
Devotees who regularly visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna dell’Acquasanta funded the project through a donation. The production, installation, and mounting of the plaque were organized by Aps Popolare Marola, which interpreted the request.
The loss of memory and awareness of the real meaning of the places we inhabit is often among the first reasons that generate degradation, neglect, and loss of identity, among those who live in the territory or among those who visit it

Aps Popolare Marola Launches Broader Revitalization Agenda
Aps Popolare Marola stated that the plaque project forms part of a broader revitalization agenda launched by its new board of directors, ex Mutuo Soccorso. Additional efforts include the recovery and a new use of the Green Area, digitizing documents from the historical archive of the Società di Mutuo soccorso di Marola under the upcoming protection of the Superintendency, and hosting social dinners and concerts.
The association is also using events to support the battle of the Borgata to not lose the little sea remaining and finance projects. Organizers stated that technical solutions will be explored to restore water flow to the spring.
