TUSKEGEE, Ala. — Marquez Daniel, a highly sought-after four-star receiver from Booker T. washington High School, has announced his commitment to the University of Florida.Daniel, ranked among the top 25 wide receivers in the nation, chose the Gators over offers from multiple Southeastern Conference schools, including auburn.
The 6-foot-5, 200-pound athlete officially visited Florida on Friday. He cited the coaching staff, especially coach Billy Napier, as a key factor in his decision.
“What makes Florida stand out to me are the coaching staff,” Daniel told On3. ”Coach (Billy) Napier is really a great coach. Told me from day one that I will be a great student-athlete and he believed in me.”
Daniel is the highest-rated of nine players committed to Florida’s 2026 class. The Gators also received a commitment from Carsyn Baker, a three-star running back from Fairburn, Ga., this weekend.
