Marta Lach Joins Human Powered Health on Two-Year Deal
The 29-year-old Polish all-rounder joins the United States-based squad as a primary roster addition following eight professional seasons that include 16 victories. Human Powered Health general manager Ro de Jonckere stated that negotiations concluded within 24 hours of her agent initiating contact. De Jonckere described Lach as an exceptionally versatile athlete who fits the team’s long-term philosophy.
Lach accumulated 10 podium finishes over the last two seasons while ranking among the top five most productive riders for SD Worx-Protime. Her career highlights feature three consecutive victories at the Festival Elsy Jacobs à Garnich, alongside a triumph at the 2025 Nokere Koerse. She also claimed second place on a stage and secured the overall mountains classification at the Tour de Suisse Women.
Reflecting on her career path, Lach expressed gratitude for her time at SD Worx-Protime, a team she initially joined in 2025 after departing Ceratizit-WNT. Her early cycling ambitions were inspired by watching the Olympic Games, and she has since represented Poland twice, placing 10th in the road race at the Paris Olympic Games alongside a top-20 finish in the time trial.
Classics Prowess and Team Ambitions
According to Human Powered Health, Lach is regarded as a Classics powerhouse due to her acceleration and finishing speed across demanding terrain and adverse conditions. She has frequently targeted brutal one-day races in northern Europe where selective routes reduce the peloton before a sprint finish.
I’m really good in the classic races, especially the crazy ones, like Antwerp or Roubaix, but I also really like sprints after a hard race. I’m very ambitious, always fighting until the end,
Lach said in a team press release.
Lach noted that the welcoming atmosphere within the international squad influenced her decision to pivot away from her previous contract. She aims to leverage her capabilities within the new environment while fostering personal and athletic growth.
It’s an international team, and the happiness that I see between the girls, and the mentality to push forward, and to be happy on the bike drew me to the project,

Roster Strategy for Human Powered Health
The addition of Lach marks an aggressive step for Human Powered Health as the organization attempts to narrow the competitive gap against dominant WorldTour programs. ProCyclingUK analysis indicates the squad has historically occupied the middle tier of the WorldTour and required riders capable of altering the outcome of major spring races.
