Her family moved to Los Angeles before she turned 10, where she was raised in the Westwood area, and she trained with the US Equestrian Team as a teenager to take part in horse-riding competitions. Her godfather was the late White Christmas actor Danny Kaye. She went on to appear in Serpico (1973), The Bell Jar (1979), Forced Vengeance (1982), and various television series including Starsky And Hutch, CHiPs, and Fantasy Island, alongside appearances in Kojak, Supertrain, the horror movie The Evil, the telefilm Hunters of the Reef, the TV movie Once Upon A Spy, and an episode of Quincy, M.E. in 1983, which marked her final acting credit.
