Marcos Cohen arazi, son of a professor who remains hospitalized following the incident, spoke to local media about the ordeal. “My father attended an academic event with a catered meal,” he explained.”he suffered severe food poisoning. It took several days before we realized the extent of the problem.”
Cohen Arazi revealed that his father experienced severe dehydration, impacting his kidney function. “Approximately 50 peopel were affected,” he stated. “We’ve heard that a group of professors presented a formal request to the university to terminate the cafeteria’s contract.”
Suspicion has fallen on spoiled mayonnaise used in a chicken roll, perhaps leading to cases of Salmonella. Cohen Arazi confirmed that around 10 individuals required hospitalization and are still undergoing treatment.
