Master the Hustle: Embrace the Grind for Success in Business and Life
Sharon Horgan, creator and star of Bad Sisters, appeared on The Late Late Show recently. She credited her success to “constantly hustling.” The second season of her Bafta-winning black comedy is currently airing. Horgan expressed her excitement about sharing the new season but admitted she felt nervous about the audience’s reaction, especially from her Irish viewers.
The first season of Bad Sisters stars Horgan alongside Anne-Marie Duff, Eve Hewson, Eva Birthistle, and Sarah Greene. It is based on the Flemish series Clan. Horgan described writing the second season as challenging. She had to develop the plot herself, but she felt comfortable with the characters and their voices.
Host Patrick Kielty hinted at a major twist in the second season. Horgan revealed that the end of the second episode contains a shocking moment. She stressed the importance of portraying the reality of abusive relationships accurately.
In addition to Bad Sisters, Horgan is known for other shows like Pulling, Catastrophe, Divorce, and Motherland. When asked about her success, she reflected that she didn’t expect to achieve so much in media. Horgan mentioned that she felt lucky throughout her career, especially since she started making shows later than most.
Horgan acknowledged that success in the industry requires hard work. She stated, “It never stops being hard,” emphasizing that she always has to hustle for new projects. When pressed about a possible third season of Bad Sisters, she replied, “I’m so tired, I don’t know. Watch it, and then ask me.”
The Late Late Show airs Friday nights at 9:35 PM on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
