Masters of the Universe Video Reveals First Look at Moss Man

A new featurette for the upcoming Masters of the Universe film has provided the first official live-action look at Moss Man, a fan-favorite character from the franchise. The promotional video, titled Sword of Power, offers a detailed behind-the-scenes glimpse into the production of the film.

Moss Man is revealed at the 0:29 mark of the featurette, where he is seen standing to the left of the frame over a table holding the Power Sword.

The character is portrayed by actor Stephen Adentan. Prior to the release of the featurette, Adentan shared a behind-the-scenes image showing himself in a makeup chair as he prepared to don a practical costume for the role.

The reveal of Moss Man is part of a gradual rollout of characters by the Masters of the Universe production team. Other characters confirmed for the film include Battle Cat.

In the established lore of the series, Moss Man is a resident of the forests of Eternia and possesses plant-based powers. In the original 1980s series, the character was voiced by Lou Scheimer.

Cast and Character Roles

The live-action adaptation features an expansive ensemble cast. Nicholas Galitzine stars as He-Man, while Camila Mendes takes on the role of Teela.

The film’s antagonistic forces are led by Jared Leto, who portrays Skeletor, alongside Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn.

Additional supporting roles include Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms and Sam C. Wilson as Trap Jaw.

Plot Synopsis

The narrative centers on Prince Adam, who is introduced as a 10-year-old who crashed to Earth in a spaceship. During this event, he was separated from his magical Power Sword, which remains his only connection to his home planet of Eternia.

The story follows Prince Adam nearly two decades after the crash. After tracking down the Power Sword, he is transported back across space to defend Eternia from the evil forces of Skeletor.

To defeat the powerful villain, Prince Adam must uncover the mysteries of his own past to transform into He-Man, described as the most powerful man in the Universe.

Release Schedule and Future Plans

Masters of the Universe is scheduled to be released in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026.

Although the film has not yet premiered, reports indicate that plans for sequels are already underway.
