Former WWE wrestler Matt Riddle has expressed interest in possibly joining AEW (All Elite Wrestling). In a recent interview, Riddle also shared his negative opinions about CM Punk, claiming he’s difficult to work with.
Riddle stated he would “totally work for AEW,” while acknowledging the company initially hired many former WWE stars with mixed results, leading them to focus more on homegrown talent. He believes some WWE hires received “fat checks and didn’t do much.”
When CM Punk’s name arose,Riddle didn’t hold back. “That guy sucks,” Riddle said. ”He’s a bitch to work with in the back.” He elaborated, claiming Punk “belly aches and complains,” even after multiple world title runs. Riddle added, “I’ve heard from my boys that still work there (WWE) that he is a headache, and this isn’t a storyline, this is the facts.”
Riddle’s wrestling career has seen its share of turbulence. WWE released him in September 2023, reportedly due to multiple chances squandered.
