# Matt Rife Becomes “Legal Guardian” of Annabelle Doll, Plans to Open Warren’s Occult Museum

Comedian Matt Rife has taken on an unusual new role: he’s now the “legal guardian” of the infamous Annabelle doll, a key artifact from *The Conjuring* movie franchise. This surprising progress comes as Rife, alongside friend and YouTuber Elton Castee, has acquired the entire collection of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, including their former home and Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut.

## A New Chapter for the Warren Legacy

rife and Castee’s guardianship of the Warren collection is reportedly for at least five years. The duo purchased the property, which houses a meaningful collection of haunted and cursed objects investigated by the legendary paranormal duo.

“Ed and Lorraine Warren arguably put demonology and paranormal into the mainstream and are the very heart of some of the most famous haunted stories of all time, The Conjuring House, Amityville Horror, etc.,” Rife shared on Instagram. He revealed their aspiring plans for the historic site: “We plan to open the house for overnight stays and museum tours so you yourself can experience and learn all the haunted history surrounding this amazing place.”

The Annabelle doll’s terrifying legend began in the 1970s. Originally a Raggedy Ann doll, it was gifted to a nursing student who soon noticed increasingly strange and disturbing occurrences. Rife’s acquisition of the Warren collection occurs just weeks after the sudden death of paranormal investigator Dan Rivera. Rivera was known for his work with the original Annabelle doll and was on a national tour with the artifact at the time of his passing.
