Matt Rogers Named Gregorio’s Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week

Washington – Matt Rogers, a grad student on the American University men’s basketball team, received the Gregorio’s Trattoria Student-Athlete of the Week award for November 11-17. Rogers averaged over 20 points per game in two matches.

On November 12, during a game against Siena, Rogers scored a game-high 26 points, shooting 11-of-22 from the field. He also made 3-of-4 three-point attempts. Later, against #10/11 North Carolina, he led the team with 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He secured one steal in both games and achieved 4-of-6 from the free-throw line throughout the week.

The Eagles continue their competition in North Carolina, facing High Point on Monday night at 7 p.m.
