England international and fellow Arsenal team-mate Declan Rice called Max Dowman the best 15-year-old in the country
as the Arsenal midfielder was awarded three Guinness World Records titles ahead of his 17th birthday.
The Essex-born football star from Chelmsford was recognised for breaking a series of age-related records across top-level English and European football during the Gunners’ Premier League-winning 2025/26 campaign.
Record-Breaking Campaign
Dowman’s records include becoming the youngest Champions League player at 15 years and 308 days, breaking the previous record held by Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko by just 75 days. He also secured titles as the youngest Premier League goalscorer at 16 years and 73 days after scoring a solo effort on the break against Everton, and the youngest player to win the Premier League at 16 years and 144 days.
The achievements are featured in the Guinness World Records Football Edition 2027, highlighting his rapid rise from Billericay Town to the Arsenal academy. His Premier League title win came as Arsenal secured their first league title in 22 years, with Dowman besting the previous winner’s record held by Manchester City’s Phil Foden by more than a year.
Arteta Integrates Dowman into Arsenal First Team
Mikel Arteta integrated the youngster early in the campaign, giving him minutes off the bench against Leeds United in August 2025 and starting him against Brighton in the Carabao Cup. Despite transfer interest and speculation over a potential January loan when he turns 17, Arsenal have made no immediate plans to send him away.

We will evaluate every six months where we are and what is the best thing for him to do and then make the right decision.
Arteta said of Dowman. The teenager has already made a strong start to the subsequent campaign, hitting a brace as Arsenal defeated Ipswich 4-2 in the Carabao Cup.
