Christian Mbilli and Maciej sulecki are set to battle it out for the WBC interim super middleweight championship in the main event of Top Rank Boxing on Friday. The 10-round fight will take place at the Videotron Center in Quebec City.
mbilli, boasting a perfect 28-0 record with 23 knockouts, turned pro in 2017 and quickly established himself with a string of 13 consecutive KOs. Only five of his victories have gone the distance.
Sulecki,36,holds a 33-3 record with 13 KOs. He is looking to build on his recent 10th-round TKO win against Ali Akhmedov in February. Mbilli’s last fight saw him defeat Diego Pacheco in the sixth round last august to claim the WBC USA and WBO international super middleweight titles.
The co-feature will see Steven Butler (35-5-1, 29 KOs) face Jose de Jesus Macias (29-13-4, 15 KOs) in a 10-round super middleweight rematch.Macias previously knocked out Butler in the fifth round of their 2021 bout. Butler was originally scheduled to fight Erik Bazinyan, but Bazinyan withdrew due to a right ankle injury.
