McLaren Racing has announced a multi-year partnership with hydration brand Liquid I.V., naming the company as an official partner across three of its racing teams: the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team, the McLaren F1 Academy and the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team.
The partnership was revealed on April 21, 2026, and will be activated at McLaren Racing Live: Miami from April 29 to May 3, 2026, coinciding with the team’s launch of its 1,000th Grand Prix campaign.
As part of the agreement, Liquid I.V. Branding will appear on the helmets of the McLaren Formula 1 pit crew and on the race overalls of McLaren F1 Academy driver Bianca Bustamante. The brand’s hydration products, including its Sugar-Free Hydration Multiplier® flavours, will be used by team personnel to support functional hydration needs during race weekends and will also be available in the McLaren Mastercard F1 Team Hub and the Priceless Lounge at events.
The collaboration extends beyond branding, with both organisations planning to explore joint initiatives between McLaren Racing’s technical experts and Liquid I.V.’s science and product teams. These efforts will focus on sharing insights around hydration strategies in high-performance and demanding travel environments.
Matt Dennington, Executive Director, Partnerships & Accelerator at McLaren Racing, commented on the partnership: “We’re proud to welcome Liquid I.V. To the McLaren Racing family. As we kick start our 1,000th Grand Prix campaign in Miami, it’s the perfect moment to bring a brand that is already familiar among fans into our race week environment. Together, we’ll connect with audiences across North America through meaningful, lifestyle driven moments that celebrate the energy and excitement of our sport.”
Brittany Shaw, Vice President of Integrated Marketing for Liquid I.V., echoed the sentiment, stating: “Both Liquid I.V. And McLaren Racing share a commitment to functional hydration, which is why we’re thrilled to be on board as an official partner to the McLaren family. Racing demands precision, and hydration is a core part of that.”
The announcement comes as McLaren Racing continues its build-up to the Miami event, where fans attending the festival will have the opportunity to sample Liquid I.V.’s products at the brand’s Hydratruck activation. The partnership also aligns with McLaren’s broader marketing goal of engaging North American audiences through lifestyle-focused initiatives tied to racing culture.
In related news, McLaren Racing has been shortlisted for the Fan Engagement Award at the 25th Sport Industry Awards, which will take place on April 30, 2026. The nomination is in association with Personar and recognises the team’s efforts in enhancing fan interaction and experience.
This partnership adds Liquid I.V. To McLaren Racing’s growing list of official collaborators and underscores the increasing importance of performance wellness and hydration in motorsport. With the collaboration set to span multiple seasons, both parties aim to leverage their platforms to promote health, endurance, and fan engagement through science-backed hydration solutions.
