Medellín & Antioquia’s Best Restaurants: Winners Revealed
He SushiMaster 2025 closed its edition with an air of collective triumph. Neither the persistent rain nor the lines that stretched for blocks managed to stop thousands of diners who, for several days, mobilized to support their favorite restaurants.
It was, as the organizers pointed out, “an act of faith”: a joint effort between cooks, work teams and customers that turned the experience into a gastronomic and economic phenomenon. More than 480,000 rolls served and more than 10,000 million pesos generated for thousands of families account for that impact.
The contest, guided by the public vote, received 97,000 valid votes this year. And it was those voters who defined the list of winners, those restaurants that managed to conquer palates, retain followers and, in many cases, attract those who were facing the contest format for the first time.
For Medellín and Antioquia, the list reflects the diversity of gastronomic bets that coexist in the region:
In Medellín, the most voted were Makena Sushi & Grill, Bhee Cocina Creativa, Koto Sushi and Wok, Takamar Sushi and Sushi Train. Each one, in their own style, managed to sustain intense days that required discipline in the kitchen, continuous service and the ability to respond to unexpected peaks in demand.
In Eastern Antioquia there were also protagonists. In Rionegro, the most voted was Creativo Sushi BK, while in Llanogrande the distinction was in the hands of Tibetano, a proposal that has consolidated a loyal audience in the area. In Marinilla, the winner was Mizuki Sushi, which added recognition that expands its presence in one of the most active gastronomic poles in the East.
