The Corporation Ilsan Hospital has been in the process of restoring its capabilities by operating as a COVID-19 base hospital. Now, Ilsan Industrial complex Hospital will serve as a ’Gyeonggi Northern Public Hospital,’ providing essential medical treatment and differentiated medical care.
This shift is driven by the government’s increasing focus on regional healthcare, particularly in light of potential gaps in medical services due to the concentration of resources in higher-level general hospitals.
The government’s plan involves fostering “complete secondary hospitals” to ensure proper medical treatment, strengthen medical effectiveness, provide essential medical cooperation, and enhance overall medical collaboration.

Ilsan Industrial Complex Hospital is also strengthening regional emergency medical centers and operating a smart emergency medical system (AI HOTLINE) to accommodate severe response and trauma patients around the clock through a network of emergency patients in Goyang and Paju.
The director added that Ilsan Industrial Complex Hospital is committed to providing essential medical care to the public. Starting in April, a pediatric emergency specialist will operate a 24-hour medical treatment system to establish a pediatric emergency system capable of providing treatment 24/7, 365 days a year.
To support thes initiatives,Ilsan Industrial Complex Hospital is transitioning to a specialist-centered operating system across all medical departments. This model, already in place in some departments, is being expanded to the internal and external fields, with all 29 medical departments now staffed by specialists.
The hospital also employs a dedicated lawyer. In the medical departments, the proportion of specialists and nurses is maintained at a ratio of 2:1 in the internal field and 1:1 in the surgical system to support the establishment of a medical system designed to prevent gaps in care.
Moreover, a dedicated team consisting of one specialist and six dedicated nurses, working in three shifts, has been organized to respond quickly to inpatient emergencies.
