Tiniping: The New First President of Children’s Hearts
Meet Tiniping, the cute fairy character from a Korean animation that has surpassed Pororo and become the new favorite among children.
The protagonist, Princess Romi, a pink fairy with big sparkling eyes, “Hachuping”, fell in love with Hachuping as soon as she saw her. “I found him, my partner Tiniping.”
The animation, released last month, has exceeded 950,000 viewers in its fifth week, ranking 3rd in the history of national animation audiences. Children are taking their parents to the theatre to watch the film, which tells a story about love and friendship that everyone can identify with.
The original work of the film is a television animation that began four years ago. It describes the journey of Princess Romi to find the Tiniping scattered across the land, and new Tiniping continue to appear, with already 107 of them.
The intuitive character, whose size is as cute as that of a newborn and whose personality can be guessed from his name, approaches children without difficult explanations. Bukkeuping is shy, while Ajaping shows courage by shouting “Aja!”
The production company has broadened the target consumer base of animation from children to families, considering that parents also need to appreciate the characters to maintain consumption. “Adults need to be satisfied, and children need to be satisfied, too, but it must be neither too difficult nor too easy to do so.”
Little fairies modeled after human emotions and states are preparing to capture the hearts of children around the world ahead of their launch in China and Japan.
